Cindy NeJame
Cindy NeJame, Speech Arts and Acting teacher, along with producer and director of Danbury High School Productions has worked in a variety of capacities with Danbury Public Schools. In addition to her present position, she has taught art on the elementary level, intellectually gifted on both the elementary and junior high levels and English on the secondary level. She has also done numerous workshops with students and staff from K-12 through the university level.
Her professional degrees include: B.S. in Art Education, M.S. in Guidance and Counseling, 6th Year in Educational Foundations. She formed DHS Productions in 1992 when she first arrived at Danbury High School and later founded the Communication Arts Department in 2003.
"Niz" is particularly proud of the brilliant efforts of the DHS Productions team, along with DHS Productions alumni, who have been accepted at some of the best universities in the country. In fact, Communication Arts Department graduates have received degrees in dance, theater, communications, music, technical theater and dramaturgy from: NYU, Tisch School, Carnegie Mellon, Emerson, Harvard, Berklee College of Music, Hartt School of Performing Arts, Marymount Manhattan, Lynchburg, Manhattanville College, University of CT, WCSU and many more respected colleges and universities. Many hold various distinctions in their major areas both on and off Broadway!
